Fujitsubo 2018 new header system

From TAS 2018.

The interesting note is that after speaking w/ Mr. Fujitsubo himself, they will offer the front pipe (cat + oversize resonator) separately. Great news for autocross guys that wanted something quiet with a cat.

Price and availability TBD, but should be sometime early 2018.

I have the front pipe they make, it was costly but the craftsmanship and fitment is excellent.

Omg yes! Loving the front pipe! Finally someone selling it separately!! :)

I like that front pipe!

Curious on size, I recall their other pieces being right around stock.

The front pipe diameter is 60mm.

I was going to save up and get the HKS R-spec exhaust for just the front pipe, but since the Fujitsubo will be offering theirs solo, I might just wait!

That looks just fantastic.

What are the total gains on the new cars? I mean with or w/o the header. I am asking because a couple of new Fujitsubo catbacks give very minimum gains. Check some figures of improvements from the official site:

Old MT car (pre-'17 model). STD: 172.9ps, Fujitsubo: 176.3ps

New MT car. STD: 187.4ps, Fujitsubo: 188ps

If these numbers are ones with stock tune, not sure it's worth to use them to judge header's worth/performance. Even more so that just top numbers tell little about gains in mid / area under curve.

Fujitsubo provides improvements with a stock tune. The above numbers of the catbacks and the numbers of their old header were provided with a stock tune:

A complete dyno of the new header will be better than peak power gains.

I'm just saying that with stock tune numbers look too uncompetitive, devaluing it in eyes of number hunters, even while it (most probably) performs at least on par with other good headers. So those numbers could be omitted aswell, to not make things undeservedly worse. I'm sure other headers will seriously underperform below their capabilities if used with stock tune too, but they look much better only because they have been dynoed with fitting tune that properly fully uses their improved flow & scavenging. Reminds me history with Ace headers. Stock tune numbers or ones with non-specific OTS tune were rather bad. Only when with collaboration with DT those got proper tune, they earned their fame & recognition among competing products.

I think he posted dynos for the catback.

.. with stock tune. For Fujitsubo previous header. No?
