My custom canards for the kouki 86

Hey fam i hope y'all doing good!
I just wanted to show you guys my custom canards that i made for my kouki 86.

Im no aero engineer and i didnt made those to get more downforce, im just a young dude who like to mess around and fabricate things. I like the look of canards but the ones that are for sale right now are just.... not my cup of tea.

And i wasnt about paying $200 for those, i guess im a cheap dude :iono:

So how did i do?

Easy, i did a cartboard template first, and that took me quite a while (bout 3 hours to get the perfect bumper shape)

After that i draw the actuall template over a old toyota camry hood deflector, the reflector is gloss black and is hard plastic that made it ideal for what i wanted

I cut it with a dremel and sanded the edges

I also install 3m tape on the side thats goes against the car,
And to fix it on the car im gonna use 3 L bracket with bolts, nuts and washers (not did it yet) or maybe i could use something else idk, you guys let me know if you think of anything!

Well, now that you know you can do it. Question, SHOULD you before making irreversible brackets and holes and such.

Will those survive at highway speeds without flapping like hummingbird wings?

Aesthetically, those actually look pretty good.
In the future, when making a template, use lots of pieces of posterboard or timecards, and staple them together following the curve of the piece you're designing around. Then cut the template for the new piece out of that. It'll save you a bunch of time over the three hours it took last time.

Holes doesnt bother me ill more likely get a rallybacker widebody in a year and it will cover them.

And they should not flap around with the hardware im gonna be using
