Is the SD card in the same (file system) format as the flash drive? FAT32 and not NTFS or APFS?

What format is the music? Also, the USB adapter stick itself might be seen as a drive and the SD card might not be seen at all by the head unit.

Is there a reason you need to use an SD card? Get a USB and be done with it.
