Door frame paint

Anyone else having issues with the paint on the inside door frame?

Mine looks to be peeling or scrapping off almost as if the door is scrapping on it.

I've have to see it in person, but in that picture it looks like dried wax...

Exactly what i was going to say spray it with a detailer spray and wipe it with a microfiber cloth then post another pic

I wish it was. Running my finger over it I can feel where the paint dips down into the scratch.

Bonburner 07-22-2012 08:28 PM

I haven't had this problem :X

Weird.. definitely looks like wax/water marks! I always no-rinse wash mine down so no problems here!

TennisHsu 07-24-2012 12:52 PM

did your dealer repair/repaint your inside door frame prior to delivery? looks like fresh paint chipping due to shoe contact.

not sure we're looking at the same thing... little under the water marks...

Oh! Damn, I did not notice that huge white line.

I don't think it'd be as simple as shoe rub, as the rubber of my shoes do all the time (as much as I try to avoid it and hate feeling that) and no issues.

Go back to dealer, it shouldn't scratch off like that!

Hanzo 08-13-2012 01:18 PM

Apply a thin layer of color polish/wax on the scrape, close the door and open it back up then look for the polish/wax on the door to see where it's making contact.

Ouch... :( If it doesn't come off, take it to the dealer.
