My Custom Hotwheels FR-S

Hey everyone!

I am by no means a Hotwheels collector. I just really love the 86 and stumbled upon a Hotwheels FR-S at the 2017 LA Auto Show. And like an 86 fanboy, I decided I should mod this thing and make it a custom.
This is my first custom, so there were definitely a lot of lessons learned, and definitely a lot of room for improvement. Let me know what you guys think!

Ricebox, new from Matchbox!

Nice work, though.

Nice! I might do one of these one day. I was also at LA Auto Show and was very tempted to look for an 86 in the Hot Wheels area but I probably would have pushed a kid out of the way so I kept my distance. haha. I might hold out for an actual scale model though.

Awesome! Did you use Bondo?

There are a whole bunch of larger scale 86's out there.

There is even a clown-car.

Those are cool, but I was thinking more of those plastic models you have to put together piece by piece, like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Tamiya-Toyota.../dp/B00829T1OC

Nah, no play-doh. I think the clear coat I used just kind of sucked and made everything look lumpy. But the headlights and tail lights were just my unsteady hands =P

Nope, no Bondo. I tried to use some tamiya putty to make a rocket bunny wide body...but turns out I have zero experience in how to mold and shape it. Maybe in the future though.

I never got the hang of Bondo personally haha.
I used to really admire people who could use it on a forum I used to be on that modified "Modifiers Cars" by x Concepts. They were 1:43 scale. People did some crazy stuff.
