New here. Exhaust Help

New here. I’ve had my car for about 6 months now, and I’m ready to switch up the sound a little bit. I want to go with an Axle back because it will be easy to install. I want a noticeable more amount of sound on the interior and exterior, but not too much that is obnoxious. I’m looking at the Borla 11839 Axle back, is this a good option for this?

Berk muffler delete.

Real talk though, explore the forums. Tons of information in here regarding exhaust setups.

Hello Conlin and welcome to our happy gang .......

Ah, yes, an axle back is a good selection to just let a bit more sound out of your machine.

Personally, on my 2013 FR-S I installed a nameless axle back about 4 years ago. I chose the 5" mufflers and 2.5" piping. I find it lets just enough sound out to say "I'm here" but not so much as to shout "look at me".

The sound in the cabin is just about as much as I would want inside the car in order to carry on a conversation or listen to music.

The muffler is high quality and fits perfectly.

Oh, or do you mean downwind of ME .....??

So, I'm old, its not good for me to try to keep gas confined in my body.

Consider yourself lucky that you're tall ....... you could have been down there at @Tcoat's level ........ :sigh:

Whateva you do OP don't get a Nvidia 1 and a catless header.....Your neighbors will definitely hate you. ;) It'll be hella LOUD. Nvidia Q300 & Perrin are lil louder than stock. Perrin deep bass tone. Check out the exhaust section. ;)

I'll suggest my axle back, Top Speed Pro. Here's a video I posted on Youtube of a cold start right after I mounted it on the car.

Catback exhaust, by a considerable margin.

The forum and YouTube videos are a good start. You can also go to car meets within your area. I'm sure most people would be glad to let you hear their different set-ups.

Go Corsa catback if you want no drone and louder than stock but not obnoxious. Pricey but sounds great
