86% of the tS units have already been distributed through the retailer network.

I remember reading somewhere (probably one of your posts) that the color split was determined by voting. My best guess in most common to rarest will be World Rally blue, Crystal white, then finally Crystal black.
At least I hope so, since mine is going to be black, haha.

Well on Reddit some Subaru Sales Manager was asking for advice because SOA was asking him what color STI Type RA they wanted. But for my dealer, I believe Subaru just threw the cars at us.

As of now, Crystal Black Sillica is the rarest color. There's still less than 100 ordered.

So I found that mine has the higher msrp because it is coming from the factory equipped with the STi shifter, cargo tray, wheel locks, and footwell illumination. And also the homelink mirror (popular package #2) According to my sales guy, the tS is getting a frameless homelink mirror on cars so equipped. I’m glad, because it would have been weird to ditch an advertised feature like the frameless mirror for something lame like homelink and a compass.

I'm in the process of depositing a $1,000 non-refundable deposit on a WRB 2018 Subaru BRZ tS for MSRP. I asked that the dealer not to add anything to the vehicle to which she agreed. However, she informed me that Subaru might add some items on the vehicle at the port, which will increase the price slightly. She gave a delivery time frame in April 2018. I'm in Florida. I'm excited!

Sounds ridiculous but Popular Package #2 actually deletes the Frameless Mirror and replaces it with the Auto-Dimming Mirror. The Auto-Dimming Mirror itself for the BRZ has very tiny bezels, but the actual mirror is a little more bigger than the Frameless one.

What do you guys think?

I'm in Hillsborough County, Florida. This is what a dealer quoted me.

MSRP: $33,495.00
Destination: $860.00
Factory Package: $831.00
Total: $35,186.00

Tax (6%): $2,196.77
License/Title Fee: $547.00
Document Fee: $498.50

Out The Door Total: $38,428.27

I asked them to remove the document fee (aka Dealer Fee) and they said they cannot because it is illegal in Florida because of a discriminatory law. Is this true? I googled it and did not find anything in paper that validates this claim.... :/

I am waiting on putting down a $1,000 non-refundable deposit until I figure this out. She did mention immediately after that I will get free oil changes for life at this car dealership. :|

I work for a Subaru dealership in Kirkland, WA, I'll try and see what tS's we're allotted, just for kicks.

I put this mirror on my 86, I got it from my Subaru dealership's parts department, since all the twins have the harness for it, it's a genuinely nice mirror, it's worth having in my opinion. It's not literally frameless but it's basically as close to frameless as you'd ever need or want.

Oil changes for life? That's a pretty smokin deal and more than covers the dealer fee, IMHO. SOA only covers 2 years of maintenance on sunbelt cars, so they're going above and beyond.

This is a car where paying MSRP is acceptable. Come to California, specifically the Bay Area, and you'd be lucky to find anything less than $5k over sticker for the first month or two.

I can't speak to Florida specifically, but in many states if a dealer charges a document fee they are required by law to charge the exact same doc fee on every vehicle they sell (this is the case in my home state of Colorado). So I would assume she is telling the truth. Now, nothing is preventing them from deducting the doc fee from the MSRP to make it "effectively" disappear, but they do have to have the doc fee delineated out separately on the contract.

So I found out that my dealership is getting two tS’es, a blue and a white one, however, on the process I discovered something else, apparently there is some 50th anniversary model and I haven’t heard of it until now accidentally stumbling upon it next to our tS orders.

Do you not read the announcements on Subarunet?? Lol. This is how you prevent a customer from telling you something you don't know.

Then they put it all over the internet..."I knew more than my salesperson did."

1. I’m not a salesperson, so no, I don’t.

2. I own an 86 so I pay more attention to the Toyota announcements and side of things. This is the first I’m hearing of the 50th anniversary edition.

No need to be an ass.

The same day I put the deposit on my tS, I also ordered its plate;

It'll go nicely with the plate on its garage mate ("18 86" was already taken, otherwise I would've gotten that for the tS.)
