Should I do this to my Emblems?

So i'm thinking of getting the toyota emblem, but what do you guys think of painting it in black chrome like this?

Maybe just me but its honestly hard to tell with the background what they look like. At first I just thought it was a stock one. Can you photo it laying against maybe the trunk or hood of the car?

I have a Raven FR-S...This test is actually a bit too dark, so next run i'm only going to do two coats instead of three. I'll a pic with it juxtaposed on my car.

Take them off and put them on cardboard? Yes! debadge is awesome.
