Anyone have a Hooker FP with helmholz res
 

I get a bit of drone with a JDL uel non-catted header and Q300 catback. Everything else stock. Wondering if an FP with a resonator will help and the helmholz are know to help with drone. Anyone have or hear one on a BRZ/FRS??

Almost any front pipe, that isn't the stock one, will increase drone.

The stock front pipe is about as drone-free as an OTS unit will get. If you want less, I'd go to a quality exhaust shop and see if they can replace one of the resonators with a larger unit, or add an additional one, either in the front pipe or the catback.

The Q300 should do a lot to keep drone and volume down, but removing any cat, primarily the header cat, is where a bunch of the roudiness comes from.

If it's too much, you could try putting your stock catback exhaust back on and see if that's closer to what you want, and go from there.

Change your catback to eliminate the drone.

Thanks. Is perfect for fun driving, but sometimes after a long day at work it can get to me. I will try an extra resonator somewhere. Going back to stock is not happening. I think I got a louder Q300 honestly.
