Anyone having issues with Bluetooth calls and the BRZ.
Hey guys, recently I had issue with my BRZ Limited and when people called me via bluetooth. The audio would be gargled and glitchy and they couldn't hear me at all making the conversation impossible. I fixed my phone (Verizon Galaxy Nexus) by rooting and flashing a custom Jellybean (Android 4.1) ROM. I realize this is not the solution for everyone. However, I also found a second fix that could work for users with only root access on a stock ROM.
You still have to have root access but it is still a possible fix. Just wanted to share because I know this was very frustrating for me. I found this fix by digging through Google's issue threads. I did not develop this fix nor help. I merely found it. Fix: "The following tweak has fixed the issue for me: I altered the /system/etc/bluetooth/audio.conf file. They're pretty minor alterations but I've been able to successfully auto-connect to both my Tunelink A2DP adapter and my vehicle's hands free system. My streaming audio is clear and voice communication has so far been garble/robot free. Specifically, I have changed the following settings: Master=True Autoconnect=true HFP=True FastConnectable=True If you are rooted and would like to flash the the audio.conf that I'm using, here is a link. http://www.mediafire.com/?13d9mwzeuzj7m02" Again, you need to at least have root access but can be on the stock ROM/OS. |
