P0018/Slip Light AND Cannot reflash.

Ok let’s start by saying I have read EVERY thread involving P0018/Slip Light.
I have my suspicions, just looking for extra ideas.

So this is my girlfriends car.
2013 Frs Auto with 89,xxxkm.
It has a Borla catback and a stage 1 map. (Been like this for 10,000km)

Now last week she got P0018/Slip Light with reduced power.
(Oil was above the bottom line, but is almost due for a change.
Running Motul 5w30)
I reset the code and it came back.
So last night I figured I would flash back to stock.
No luck. Ecuflash would immediately abort.
Tried over and over with no luck.
I even reflashed my Brz to make sure my computer/software/tactrix we’re functioning properly.

My suspicion is that the Ecu is glitching or has failed.
Any ideas?

Details that may or may not have anything to do with it;

-been running no front bumper, no inner fender on drivers side and no engine splash guard for a little over 3 months now.
-some nitwit ‘opened up’ her air box for more flow(stilll looking for a replacement)
-ecu was updated to a B01D Calid rom with the tune 10,000km ago

post up the event log from ecuflash

The ecu has not failed or car wont start.

flashing to stock is unlikely to help with P0018

does ecuflash read the vin and cvn data?

a lot of 2013 cars has suspect obd ports. try putting forwards or backwards pressure on the tactrix then try to READ ecu.

I would not try write till you solve connection problems.

or try extension cable or bending the rows of pins inwards slightly on tactrix

Solved the connection issue, and flashed back to stock.
Code came back.
I still think ecu.

Have you tried logging or checking the Cam Position Sensor at all? Lets face it, you should check the symptom of the fault before assuming the ECU has failed.
