Things to watch out for when buying rep wheels?

Hey y'all

Now before you get your flamethrowers out, hear me out. I hate the OEM wheels and wanted to get a cheap set of reps (rpf1 lookalikes) for less than half the price. They're just for my winter tires and obviously I don't care that they're reps because of that. Having said that, are there things I should watch out for? Never bought reps so I don't know what the quality is usually like.

As long they are circular you are good to go

Go for it, it should be okay, they’re not soft like tofu. Just watch out for potholes.

I go to Toronto at least 3-4 times a year, roads seems pretty smooth.

Watch out for potholes.

There are various levels of reps.
Branded
Rebranded
Unbranded
Quality control would be slightly different, some higher than others, if at all.
At least mention the brand... Those look like EHKEl.

This^
They can range fro pure junk to made beside the name brands but having a different part number.
For a winter wheel I personally would stay away from a cheap wheel with such small spokes. Slide into one curb or bounce it through a slush filled pothole and it will be done. Go with a larger spoke but keep them open so that slush doesn't build up in between them.

More like this:

With all the slush and crap you will have sprayed up the sides of the car how your wheels look will be the least of your worries anyway.
