Engine Knock Corr. reading through OFT
I searched the forums for someone having the same situation as me. Most of the threads encountered engine knocking as a sound.
My situation: Was driving down I-95 with the OFT hooked up, I noticed several times there were Engine Knock Corr readings. First one I noticed was a -0.34 reading at around 3500 RPM and around 79 MPH. I noticed throttle application was nothing to do with it. About 5 - 10 minutes after, I noticed a -0.68 reading that jumped quickly to a (-/+) 1.12 reading (around same speed). Oil temperature and everything else was looking normal to me. Is this something I should be worried about? Is the frequency of the engine corr readings a close to ordinary occurrence? Is my engine fooked? WILL my engine be fooked, if I don't have someone look at? I'm going boosted around christmas, so Ill definitely brief my tuner about that. It should be mentioned that these readings never became permanent, they flashed and went back to 0.00 in a matter of a sole second. Tuners, Shops, everyones input would help, GrassyAss! |
