Parts coming in!

My build parts are shipping!
(1) OFT - 2 weeks (by air freight)
(2) JDL UEL - 5-7 weeks arrival (by sea freight) but i can still switch to Tomei because the complete kit with flanges/gasket/thermal seems good
(3) Toyota OEM 4.56 FD already at shop - will have it installed together with headers

I decided to skip on wheels/tires since i dont track competitively, and will continue to maximize the car in stock form + while i bald them out for replacement.

I chose JDL assuming it is the most "OEM" quality as I really want my car to be as maintenance-free as OEM as possible - plus the look of the welds are brilliant.
Was about to go ACE 4 2 1 but I also read i would need a custom tune to dial it in vs the JDL.

Anyway, am i missing something here on running headers with stock catback? will i eventually harm the outpipe/frontpipe/catback due to the increased heat? or will i actually need some form of heat shielding on my headers to protect my oil too? Not sure if im being paranoid about it but daily temps here are 31-40C. Oil cooler? bigger radiator? Or is the Tomei kit more reliable?

You can always get the header ceramic coated or wrapped (or both!) to keep engine bay temps lower. Oil cooler might be worth getting if you intend to track your car but in normal driving conditions I'd say you should be fine without it

Try some E85 when you get the OFT and UEL installed, you won't be disappointed :burnrubber:
