Question Regarding Suspension

Hello guys.

Picked up a 2013 BRZ and had a few questions regarding suspension for it.

The previous owner gave me a set of Swift Sport Springs.

I was planing on running them with Koni Yellows.

Since the Swift springs are a real mild drop do I have to mess with any camber mods or should it be alright?

Planning to use this car as mostly a weekend fun car with the occasional auto-x or track day.

Also, been searching about different bushings and such. Any bushings/Supports/Other suspension mods you guys would recommend?

I came from the BMW world. Sold my e92 M3 a year or so ago. This car is vastly different to say the least. But very fun to drive!

Even with a mild drop?

i have TRD springs with a 1 inch drop. With no camber bolts, u can only increase camber up front to a certain degree. For rear LCAs, u need aftermarket ones to do any camber adjustment. I ended up with -1.7F and -1.3R with these 2 parts and tht improved the driving experience :)

if u don't want to adjust rear camber, tht is fine. u'll get some natural camber with your slight drop. But u can't set it

The one inch drop is going to put you around -2 degrees of camber in the rear. It's really up to you if that bothers you. Tire wear will indeed increase slightly

For weekend fun/track/auto-x car i'd suggest: 1) get more camber front then rear, to dial out some understeer, 2) rise overall negative camber to up grip & even out tire wear.
For (1.) get 0.5dg more negative camber front, for (2.) .. some -2.5 to -3 front, -2 to -2.5 rear should do.
For me - toe zero front, slight toe-in rear. Others have other toe preferences.

BTW, googled out 1-1.1" drop of swift sport springs is on border of "mild drop", given twins being rather low as is and with rather short shocks travel even stock. Suggest to not go lower then 1", as by then one may need more parts to fix suspension geometry or eg. reduce axle bearings load.
Given natural camber gain from lowering imho you can get buy getting SPC+Whiteline camberbolts for front, SPC rear LCA.
If you go to track, remember about better brake pads and fluid.

Bushings are rather subjective thing. To each his own acceptable level of changes in NVH. And then there are rules of what's allowed for specific classes if one will want to compete (in eg. auto-x). Hard to suggest something, if you haven't specified if eg. pillowballs are acceptable/wished to you, if you are ok with greatly increased NVH , if you want or not to fit under STX class ..
