lamin-X headlight "gunsmoke" tint

thinking of getting this done. Anyone ever run into trouble running these in Ontario (or anywhere else really). Wondering what the infraction is slash if this is something cops actually even know about or will notice.

thanks in advance for help or insight.

I ran it on all my Lancers. Only ever had one cop say anything and even then it was just a casual "warning". They do know it is not legal and will notice but if you don't drive like an ass most will ignore it. Be a bigger issue if they pulled you over for something else and decided to do a shopping list of tickets.
There is a noticeable reduction in the light level though so you want to keep that in mind if you drive a lot of back roads at night. I don't so it had almost no impact on me.

Awesome, Thanks for the insight I just ordered them. 180$ direct from lamin-x website including tax and express shipping. Are they relatively easy to install or should I go to a shop you think? (I do have a spritzer water bottle and a proper squeegee lol)

Really easy to install. $180??? They used to be like $30.

Complex shape of the headlight is going to be a pain to install. Also, anything that cuts my light output is a no-go in my book. If you want a darker look, paint the inside to get rid of the chrome or replace the headlights entire IMHO.

Why x 2? They come in a set for both sides. You will get 2 sets.

:bonk: Indeed. I fxxcked up and clicked the thing twice :bonk:

Good news though: A rep at Lamin-X noticed the error and emailed me to ask if I wanted the two or just one set. They have refunded the other set and are now only sending one set.. Now that's customer service right there.. Thanks Thomas at laminX lol! Saves me the trouble of having to make another thread called "Selling set of tinted headlight protection film"
