I was told it was "cute" and it fits me the other day by a middle-aged, very hot M5-driving single mom. So I've got that going for me, which is nice.

It does look quite evil and angry, whereas the BRZ is the friendly and kind one.

And other drivers probably think you're a douche, more than they would think you're cool.

But I'm alright with that.

Most people wouldn't be able to point out the difference between all four front bumpers if you parked the cars in a row. We are really the only crowd that even slightly cares what the front of each looks like.

My point is they did not have to change the front end. They do respond to user feedback, though, and it sucks they chose to respond by adding this ugly-ass edgy "aggressive" junk.

My bitch is that nothing on the front bumper matches the rest of the car, and it's there because some clown did feel the need for more fake "aggressiveness". There are any number of cars that are aggressive that don't wear a stupid face. It's such a nice car on its own it does not need fake.

Seeing that 860 from the front on the street utterly surprised me as an 86 owner, as my very first thought was how stupid ugly that front end is. From any other angle, its a very sexy little car, with actual curves you don't see much any more. Until you get to the front.

And it's going to get worse.

I may call my car "Token" to honor the token "aggressiveness" and piss off that other dude at the same time.

It IS fugly.

In general, if people like it, great. No problem that someone likes the styling.

However, as a much older driver, I found the original front end (FR-S '13-'16) to be much cleaner and a better design.

Personally, I believe the 2017+ BRZ front end is the current cleanest design and I personally like that the best of the 4 overall designs.

Wait don't the 86 and 860 have the exact same front end??

Yes. I hate the front, have grown used to it, saw an 860 (86) on the road for the first time, struck by how fugly and out of place with the rest of the car it is.

I need to learn to be very clear.
1. The 860 looks good
2. The 86 looks good
3. The 860 orange looks really bad
4. The front lip of the 86 and 860 is ugly, and matches nothing on the rest of the car, and is there to be "aggressive" so the mom in the Camry knows she needs to run away when she see's you in the mirror pathetically trying to pass.

I've never done body work, so this summer I hope to DIY the ugliness off the front end.
The only person I have to satisfy is me, so we'll see what happens. It does not need much to get rid of the ugly.

Just buy a Varis front bumper ;)

This discussion reminds me of what the manufacturer did to the MGB between 1970 and 1975 (made the front end ugly).

However, the difference being ..... the manufacturer had to in order to comply with revised regulatory requirements.

If you don't want your car to look aggressive there is an ea$y fix for that.

That is exactly what Petrol has been trying to buy for the last year. He obviously has not succeeded.
