Fu$#@(&?ing deer!

Had one jump out in front of me tonight! Barely had time to stomp on the brakes. Wet pavement, of course!
Not terrible damage. I think the hood is the only casualty.
That sumbich would have been in my lap had I not but the brakes. Glad that didn't happen with my 12 yr old in the front seat!
Rant/done

Hoofed Rats. Be grateful you don't live in central Texas, a bunch of exotic Axis deer escaped from a game ranch some years ago, found the environment accommodating and have reproduced like rabbits. The major problem is they are bigger than the native whitetails, and apparently, substantially dumber. A bad combination for motorcyclists and sports car drivers.

Well, that sucks.

I hope your car isn't too messed up.

Yep, up here, we got some critters that wander out in the roads from time to time.

In a twin, I figure if you hit em fast enough, being a low car, you just clip them at the knees and the main body just rolls on over the car ......

That's not far from the truth! I think he lept just as I hit him. The front end rotated his hind legs and his rump landed on my hood. The fenders and bomper are fine. Just the hood is damaged.

I've heard rumors that they can be ground up and used for a natural remedy.
