Here we go again! BRZ vs FR-S Crickets!

Ok. I have a 2015 BRZ that has always had crickets. I can usually get rid of them by switching to Chevron gas (must be their detergent package). Anyhow I'm showing the FR-S TSB with 4 revisions of the fuel pump while Subaru is showing my 2015 as having the latest pump model. My question is to the other 2015+ BRZ owners, how did you get Subaru to fix your crickets? I'd like to get this replaced before the car goes out of warranty.

If it's a TSB warranty is irrelevant. I had crickets but headers fixed it so Subaru got off easy. :)

I also have a 2015, and my local Subaru dealership replaced my fuel pump last week because of the crickets. I only got mine done because a friend had his replaced by a particularly overachieving tech. I had tried in the past and they had just turned me away

I got rid of mine by using Shell 91

Why is warranty irrelevant? A TSB is just a technical document that tells the techs how to repair a known problem. It is not a recall or even a notice to customers that there is any issue. A dealer can turn you away for a TSB item if they don't feel your car has that issue. Any repairs done under a TSB are indeed warranty work.

I get crickets when use 93 oct with 10% ethanol

Yep, this concept seems to cause ongoing confusion. Maybe Wiki can help .... :)

Chevron gas eliminated the crickets for me as well. But Mobil gas seems to idle the smoothest but with crickets. So, I have been meaning to try Mobil and adding Techron to see if I get the best of both worlds but I keep forgetting to bring the bottle of Techron with me when I fill up.

I have a 2015 BRZ and I got the new fuel pump in July. I just showed them the TSB or you can tell them to look up the updated TSB and they should install the new fuel pump. After I got the new fuel pump I have no crickets.

Been a 11 months and no crickets, if it bothers you take it back until there are none. They could possibly been installing the wrong pump from the wrong TSB.

. What TSB did you show? All the ones i could find and Subaru found shows that my 2015 is outside the VIN #'s of the TSB and that they don't show a later part # (unlike Scion).
