Valenti 4th Brake Light wiring for 2017 MY
 

I recently hooked up my 4th brake light but was a little confused when I went through to try and wire it. Every tutorial I’ve seen talks about tapping into a blue wire, though there isn’t a blue wire in the wiring harness for the brakes...

It could be because my car is a 2017, though I’m not sure.

Anyone have an idea as to which color wire I should wire my 4th brake light into?

Which model did you buy specifically?

Is it an actual valenti or just valenti style (GCS etc.)? It might change the advice I can give as I'm not 100% sure if the wiring is the same.

This is the best guide I found, but it is still a bit confusing.

The kit includes an extra set of wires (blue and black) that you need to harvest the blue wire from (or black, but for sake of clarity to match the guide using blue). You want to tap one end of this extra blue wire onto the blue wire of the new main harness that came with the light, and tap the other end into the brake wire of your tail light (green wire).

From the new main harness, black goes to the ground screw, and tap the end of the new brown wire to the red wire on your tail light.

You can easily test all of these before tapping by placing them into the ends of the tail light connector.
