Amazing car meets in Tokyo or Kyoto?
 

Hello all!

I will be visiting Japan for the first time in January. Does anyone have recommendations for some amazing car meets I could attend in Tokyo or Kyoto?

How do I get to witness the garage scene from Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift :P

Dont know about Kyoto but in Tokyo area, you can go to daikoku futo and aqua line rest stop. They are both truck stops that turns into a parking lot car shows and car meet

Car meets? Just go to Tokyo Auto Salon.

You can get lucky on some weekends at Daikoku Futo, but be aware that 1) it is a rest stop on a toll highway (so you can't just take a train or walk there), and 2) people come and go and you may have to stand in the cold for hours to see anything.

If you want to witness the garage scene from F&F just watch the movie. That was shot in the abandoned parking garage at the Hawthorne Mall and several of my friends had cars in that whole thing. You won't find anything close to that in Tokyo, aside from the parking lots at Tokyo Auto Salon.

There's virtually nothing in Kyoto. You don't go to Kyoto for car stuff.
