Can't translate it for you but based on that picture I'd take a wild guess that its some sort of Cold-Air Intake. Similar to the PWD:JDM or J's Racing intakes on S2Ks (sorry those are the only two similar styled intakes I could think of atm)..

And the bottom picture looks like an aftermarket oil-cooler.

Nope, looks to be the oil cooler kit they have available for our cars. Its listed on their website.

I can read the Hirigana and Katakana, not the Kanji, and I dont understand enough japanese yet to fully translate it but I can tell you that right after where it says Greddy at the top it says "Oil Cooler Kit"

Then down by the picture the caption says something like "kit supercooler" probabaly talking about the ducting on it.

then there is just too much Kanji for me to pick anything out of it.

Long story short its a oil cooler kit with a direct air ducting and the bottom where it has the Greddy logo says "Oil cooler kit test" and is showing the cooling compared to not having it.

Yeah it's pretty much oil cooler kit. It just explains the design and test (at the Twin Motegi) and graph to show the result.

I had a sick oil cooler setup on my AE86, ganked one from an FC. Gonna do one on this car once the warranty is up.

I bet it would if something happened to the motor, they could just say oh that's your fault for using an aftermarket part.

Yeah but the cooler actually moves the oil into a 3rd party device, so if you have any sort of internal engine issue they're gonna blame that, and then make me pay.

That applies to every part I believe, it just depends on what happened, if your rear-end blew up then the oil cooler obviously would not have anything to do with it, but if you had aftermarket axles or something then that would probably void any warranty on the rear end.

But i did just read somewhere that (at least in california) there is some law stating that the manufacturer must prove that an aftermarket part was the cause of damage to void warranty. Not sure if it was true but I did read that somewhere :iono:
