Looking to buy a Raceseng Ashiko. Is their official website good to buy from?

Wondering if the Raceseng site is good to order from. I also see it's available on FT86Speedfactory. Would be the first time buying something for my car that I can't get from Amazon lol

I had ordered raceseng products from both FT86SF & their own online shop. No problems getting via both ways. Would prefer first though as there are often other things i order from them, for cheaper shipping/handling costs of combined order. But there might be things that are available only on raceseng shop, eg. custom made products (including custom knobs).
P.S. Imho better choice would be their hybrid knobs then metal billet only ones, hybrid as in ones with metal insert/plastic suround, for usability sake, to not burn hand in summer heat/sun, to not freeze hand in winter.

I had no problems ordering directly from Raceseng. Would definitely by through them again. Shipping was better through them at the time for me. Also I love my Ashiko shift knob. It was one of the first mods I did and almost 2 years later I'm still loving it.

Of course their website is fine to buy from. You are bypassing the middle-man, and going straight to the source, lol.
Their customer service is also absolutely fantastic (speaking from personal experience.)

I heard they have cooties!

Actually I don't think I have ever read a single bad word about them.

thanks for the input everyone! just ordered a custom ashiko in translucent purple from raceseng.

another question: it says to allow 5 weeks to process. did anyone receive theirs sooner? been wanting this for a while and 5 weeks seems forever D:

I ordered my custom Sphereology on November 28th, and it shipped out to me on January 4th. It does take them a bit of time to make these as there are a lot of steps involved and they are still a relatively small operation. They did just move to a larger facility, though, so I dunno what that's done for their efficiency.

Waiting is the best part! :)

That's I got mine from without any problems. The ashiko is one of my favorite mods that I've done. You won't regret it.

Why not ask them?

Five weeks for a custom part seems bloody good to me. Hell, I am old enough to remember when five weeks for a catalogue order of a stock part would have been a miracle.

churchx 10-12-2017 09:42 AM

btan219: custom do take long. Mine maybe was less then 5 weeks, but not by much\. They do state so, so i have no claims against that ..
Of course it was hard to quieten own impatience (yeah, i'm probably one of many that asked them along the way, if by chance it won't happen sooner :D), but getting exactly one how i'd like (as this one) was more important vs getting it sooner of one of stock finishes.
Whatever reasons for custom to take long (be it accumulating enough of them, be it more work to deal by hand with each of them), it's perfectly understandable, and i'm sure that just like for me, for you too it will not take longer then what they state. They are reputable shop that value highly their reputation made up by years at this market.

I got mine from FT86speedfactory, as I usually like to pack several items in one order. No problems. That said, it is a huge diference on the shifting. You will not regret it at all.

that's what i've been hearing! i'm super excited. my only concern is some people say it's too big for them. my hands are on the smaller side (a small according to racesengs hand chart). but i took the risk of getting it anyways because i always felt the need to grip something bigger than the size of the stock knob.
