101 Octane gas station? will our cars blow up? :)
Well, probably our cars will not blow up, but I did not risk it at 101 octane :)
Buuuut, I "installed" 94 octane and my 2017 '86 feels so smooth...I hope I don't get addicted to $5+ / gal gas :) Would anything bad happen at 101 octane? (this gas station in Sunol, CA - SF Bay Area) https://drive.google.com/uc?export=d...ThKcGFncFZCZ0E |

Yeah I used to go here a lot back when Palomares was open.
Gonna have to start going down there for 94 again. Quote:

I'm glad you blurred/censored that 101 price out because those prices are scandalous. Wouldn't adding xylene/toluene and marvel mystery oil mix be a much cheaper option?

Hehe...no blur, just reflection...it was $6.99/gal :) The stickers on the buttons and the mismatched names look like someone was sniffing the high octane gas when labeling them :) |
650 miles from here to that gas station one way. How the heck do you have that in CA?

87 to 94 nearly double the price :confused0068::eyebulge:

Is that 98 just some 86 rotated 180 degrees? That 8 looks weird.
|
101?? What is that in canadian nomenclature?

Waste of money unless you are tuned to use it. |

What's also confusing is the name vs octane. It would make more sense to me if it went: Regular 87, Supreme 94, Extra Supreme 96, Ultra Supreme 98 then Racing 101. But hey, what do I know, I live on the right coast.
