Supersprint exhaust

I found that supersprint makes an exhaust full system for roughly ~5.5K.:confused0068:
Claims:
no CEL
15.9 HP gain
15 TQ gain.

I assume this is no software as they don't mention it on the site. I imagine with software you would gain quite a lot more.(~10hp?) Especially if you went with their no cats kit.

I am curious if anyone is knowledge able about this kit and if they can speak to their impress of it? The cost is super high but I could see someone doing this on an all NA build.

I know that supersprint makes some real nice exhaust for the BMW scene that have solid gains.

Sounds like you're looking for an ACE header. The ACE 350 is to the BRZ what the SSV1 is to the E46 M3.

It looks like an aggressive 4-1 EL header into the usual overpipe/catted front pipe/catback exhaust.

Since this is designed as one entire system, the key benefit would be lack of drone since there is no resonator/muffler on the front pipe after the catalytic converter. The catback portion of the exhaust is designed for this header/front pipe combo.

You could create something similar for cheaper... closest thing I can think of is Apex'i header/OP/catted FP w/ resonator + your choice of quality catback exhaust. Should end up around $3000-3500 if you go with a $1000-1500 catback. As for the "no CEL" claim, that's technically doable with any header as long as you provide a long enough spacer for the O2 sensor so it won't detect any anomalies.

So... yes it's pricey but if you want a complete aftermarket solution from a single company that achieves gains with sufficient sound suppression, this would be good. Otherwise, you can piece together your own for much cheaper, but beware of issues with drone or noise or both. If you're primarily after power gains, then there's better options on the market.

Thank you! these look perfect. I wonder if they hook up to an MY17 exhaust.

It bolts up fine to the MY17's. I haven't bought one yet, but it replaces the header and overpipe.

The only thing different on MY2017 cars is the flange between the midpipe and the rear muffler. Everything else header/OP/FP/exhaust on the car is the same if you swap out entire components.

Supersprint used to have a presence on the forums and even a development thread with info on the header and exhaust. I have tried searching it without much luck. It may have been deleted after they stopped paying to be vendors. There is still SOME info around if you look but not like there once was.

With that amount of cash i would rather go with FI

I'm usually the last one to jump on the "why don't you just go turbo/supercharger" bandwagon, but $5,500 for 15bhp doesn't sound like the most cost effective way to go faster...

You would at least be unique!
