And canards are not primarily for down force. They are intended to divert airflow from entering the wheel well. Hense why a wind tunnel is needed moron. Anyone can create downforce.

Mods please retitle this "Is the widbody ruining the future/resale of the 86" that would be more accurate. Thank you

In 10 years, Craigslist will be flooded with jank 86's that have widebody rivets falling out of them. "It has a boxer engine with a pandem bunny kit and runs great! $3200"

Why pose the thread title as a question for discussion if you've already made up your mind?

Better yet, are you implying that when someone pays for a thing with their own money that they shouldn't have the right to do with it what they want? That they should refer to a dictator to tell them how to live their lives? Why do you hate freedom.

And all of my canards are wind tunnel tested and functional babycakes!

Please post the wind tunnel testing results and other data supporting the functionality your of your home made canards. No doubt the race teams around the world will be interested.

I've got a few things to say. Yes, the fad of half baked, liberty walk, rocket bunny, garbage "widebody" kits is cancer. I've seen a few custom made sheet metal widebody kits that are absolutely gorgeous but when you're cutting away your fenders and riveting some gaudy afterthought onto the outside, you are ruining the car. Go ahead and screw up your handling by significantly increasing your track width and not making any other adjustments to accompany it while you're at it. The worst is the front fenders, which could easily be made as an entire new part if they weren't so cheap and lazy. It is stupid.

About as stupid as the OP, who apparently thinks CFD is 100% accurate. That is easily the most idiotic statement I'll see all day.
