(yes, I'm being serious)

Increased track width will improve cornering. When designing a race car from scratch, you place the tires as far outboard as the rules allow,

What really ruins the flow of the car is putting roof strakes on the rear window. People think it's cool to look like sonic the hedgehog but it completely ruins air going to the spoiler. And if you have a wing forget about it.

Proper vortex generators, can reattach the flow, and increase the efficiency of the wing or spoiler, IF there is flow detachment to begin with.

What nonsense. Everyone knows underglow costs you at least 2 hp due to the photons dragging along the pavement.

Are there more pictures of that car (without those stupid fins of course)? Can you give a link?

Nevermind, I found it.

Looks like a render or video game car to me.

Yes, it is a render. I thought it was real first and got excited, looks nice.
These are untouched front and rear views. I can't afford it but I hope somebody builds it.

This scenario is no different than trying to find an unmolested Nissan 240 or Toyota MR2. Those were both amazing cars yet to find one stock would be a rare gem due to the ignorance of people's children. [...]

I had an unmolested MR2 mk2 in pristine condition. I sold it. I made enough money to buy a catback exhaust.

I wonder if Mr nerd will ever come back after that roasting.

For those who find that attractive, could you please explain why?

redhalo 10-01-2017 03:52 PM

Because some people like different things than other people. It's an explanation that explains all sorts of things that confuse people.

I like it for what it is. That is a fully built car with 400+ hp for track only.

this thread has kind of become a huge bias meme at this point.

Some people like using their cars and modifying them for track and autocross, some people like widebody and making their car look extra for shows or for the stance culture. Some people like keeping their car stock and not doing anything to it.

How bias would it be if i made a thread "Is the autocrossing fad ruining our cars?" "Is the cleanly modified fad ruining our cars?" "Are stock frs' ruining the culture?" Like lol

How boring would it be to go to every car meet and see a frs/brz lowered a little bit with a little bit bigger tires and some RPF1s and an Invidia n1. with UEL Headers.

No need to go after small fraction of our community because you "don't understand what it does to help the car" or "think it looks dumb"

Personally, I like the look of fender flairs and wide body cars. What I don't like is extreme camber. But what I don't like doesn't really matter, it's not my car, not my project you feel. I wouldn't go over to some dude with some generic ass RPF1s or some shit and say god Enkei is ruining the look of our cars.

I'm probably going to strike a nerve and tilt someone when they read this. I deadass don't understand why this thread is a thing

I still support my point that everyone has the right to modify their car as they please but after going back and seeing that the OP hot glued plastidipped cardboard to his car I'm going to have to take a step back
