What's the biggest waste of money you've spent your money on?

For me, hockey cards.

I have spent quite a bit of money on them. I don't know why but it's fun opening them..... just to get pictures of dudes.

It's so stupid. A company will produce the cards and then limit certain ones, which makes it more valuable. Why the ef do i even buy them?

I probably will keep buying them though.....

Going to buy exhaust for my car soon. That's a lot of money to make my car sound different and add a tiny bit of power.

Food.
It always just turns into shit.

MAGIC CARDS! I have so many, and I've sold off a bunch and got like $500 and still have a ton.

Arguably worse than hockey cards.

Oh also $5k on a track suspension setup for my car when I don't track. That was pretty dumb.

^So glad I'm satisfied with two watches for <$250 total and that addiction got filled before I spent much more. It's a fun hobby but not for me. Maybe someday I'll get a nice German flieger (there's one with a bronze case that I almost bought, but at ~$800 I'm glad I didn't) or a nifty chronograph that's vintage inspired, there's a couple Rolex's that look super nice (I dig the arctic explorer ii a lot) but I get so much more enjoyment out of other hobbies.

I'd say about half my car mods have been worth it, I've gotten an incredible amount of satisfaction and enjoyment from my car so that's money well spent, but there's a few thousand bucks I do regret, they come with lessons though so it wasn't a total waste. None of them were pointless though (like an antenna or intake)

No if there's anything I regret it's wasted time, time I could have spent working out instead of laying on the couch getting fat, or looking for a higher paying job, or learning about car setup so I can be at least semi-competitive autocrossing, or writing, or playing/writing music. You need some time to decompress every day, but not 2-3 hours of nothing, I really need to cut down on that wasted time.

Oh man, that "watch ticking" sound immediately reminded me of this awesome track:

Pokemon cards. They release new sets 4 times a year and you need some new ones to compete or just to collect. It was worse when thry didn't rotate old sets out since what worked was a smaller pool so cost went up.

Though I think it is still cheaper then Magic competitively lol
