Had not heard the ABC acronym before, good way to remember! It is so easy to get heat exhaustion, or headaches as I've experienced :( I remember a hot track day last year (in my e36) and I had to skip the last session because of a bad headache from the heat/sun. No way I had the focus or awareness to take it safely to the track.

I did a test logging intake temps - shutting car off in grid vs keeping it running. Significantly cooler IATs, measured at the start of the next run, if you shut off right away and don't start til the last second. But if it's hot out, screw that, I'm leaving a/c running and rolling windows up. My friends with SP and up cars get super jelly.

Interesting. Banging doesn't seem to hurt me, but abstaining 5-7 days before a big event seems to help a lot with clarity, focus, and aggression...probably because I'm anxious to get through the event and get it in.
