Trouble installing Intec fender vent turn signals

Hey you guys! First post on here but I've been a bystander for a while. I ordered the intec fender garnishes a few weeks ago and had no issue getting the old garnishes.

I moved the clips over to the new parts but when I went to snap it on the wires into the fender are in the way and half the clips don't snap in or pop out. I've already chipped away the extra glue around the wiring but and still having issues.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to deal with this or experience with installing these?

IIRC, my clips aren't all seated 100% but it's on there strong enough to stay in flush. Mine has been on for 1.5+ years now without any issues.

You can dig through this thread to see if you can find more info: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98740

Thanks for giving me some faith about the clips not sealing and I had read the first couple pages of the group buy thread but hadn't dug that deep until you linked it.

I actually solved this by unscrewing the lights from inside and trimming the raised screw mount, and screwing it back together. All the clips seated properly. The right side was about 1/8" taller than the left.

Nice! I might need to do this myself
