Music while driving?

So this morning I decided to wake up myself and everyone around me before going to work while driving slowly down my street. My method of waking people and myself was to blast music, very loudly. It created a great experience and because of my younger age compared to a typical owner on this forum, got some blood flowing through my veins.

I was quite amped while going to work and I'm sure a scared some of the children by the school near my house, I was perhaps going over the speed limit and was perhaps creating a large amount of noise pollution.

My song of choice is found below, it was just in my head from recently watching a tv show (hehe), and I decided I wanted to maybe scare some people not accustom to this genre..

The first few seconds are key to fully immersing yourself in the experience

Hey, I don't listen to the genre really, I just thinks it's super funny to see the look on peoples faces when it's blasting

It was golden, all the children with a 'WTF' face, all the people closing their windows, all the people who had no choice to listen to me while I was stopped at a red light and they were at a bus stop... IT GETS ME AMPED

Just to be sure.. You do know when you do that cr@p you are being judged and I have a sneaking suspicion it's not in a good way.

Try to have some respect, if not for yourself at least for your neighbors who work late and have a different sleep schedule from you.

The most worrying thing about this is:

"I was quite amped while going to work and I'm sure a scared some of the children by the school near my house, I was perhaps going over the speed limit"

Keep this up and I see a day when either your driving license is revoked or some kid is dead.

But as long as you feel "Amped", thats all that matter eh.

StraightOuttaCanadaEh 09-13-2017 12:43 PM

I like slam but it's not heavy to me. I like doomcore stuff like Black Tongue, xKingx, Humanity's Last Breath, even some Oceano. Chased through the woods by a rapist was awesome. Good cover

A lecture from the internet, dayum. You've killed my mood, I take pride in driving responsibly, but can't help to feel a little spirited from time to time within limits, and open play area.

That's all good and well, within reason, we all have our moments however on this occasion you talked about speeding near a school with kids around. I reiterate, your were speeding at a school with kids around. I suggest you read that sentence a few times, perhaps then you will understand my response. There are no second chances when you run over a kid. It will be with you the rest of your life.

Who said I was driving at a school. The area has a school yes, which in turn has kids walking to it yes, but why are you under the assumption I'm going to mistakenly hit a kid on an 80km/h limit main road by possibly going upwards of that by 15. You're right, there are no second chances, but I'm not about to go anywhere near 7/10ths on a public road, so please you're assumptions are distasteful and only show that you have a personal grudge against people who fit such a look.

Don't make it sound like I went through the drop off and pretended to be Ken block while using children as pylons.

You're the one who stated you got a kick out of speeding around a school and frightening the kids. You don't need to be doing 7/10 ths, kids will step in front of you doing 1/10ths.

If you are offended by someone pointing out what you did was as best inappropriate at worst down right dangerous then perhaps your not as responsible a driver as you say/think you are.

Or perhaps I misunderstood; if so, you keep doing what your doing, keep speeding near schools.

There is an 80K zone by your house and a school?

People That fit such a look? You do understand that it is actions like this that give people "who fit such a look" the bad reputation in the first place right?

I play my music loud, always have, but if it is loud enough to "wake up everybody around me" or "scare" children then it is too bloody loud.

IB4T "I got speeding and excessive noise tickets and it is unfair because they were just profiling me due to my appearance" thread.

Why would a kid step in front of me on a 80km/h main road?? :/ With an argument like you're trying to make, I could've been driving anywhere, and some random kid could've stepped in front of me while going 20.86km/h lol.

Fun fact: The side of the road I was travelling on does not have a side walk travelling parallel, the other side does though, and to top that off, the side walk is maybe 10 feet from the actual road itself which has a total of 4 lanes and a middle full car size yellow line lane, so let's call it 5 lanes, 4 drive-able. You got to stop assuming stuff and calling me mad lol

The internet is a fun place

Oh and the whole scare part was more related to the genre of music, specifically the first 10 seconds of the song that is literally just screaming, not actual volume, I have stock speakers lol....

Loud enough for others to hear, but definitely not ear piercing, maybe just a bit disturbing to people not accustom to hearing someone scream in a microphone.

Plus, perception of sound is much like taste buds, it varies from person to person

Yes. I like my music loud but appreciate that others don't want to hear or may not like it. There is some asshat in a Neon that lives down the road from me. He seems to feel that since he likes crap dubstep the rest of the neighborhood should as well. The problem lies in that he gets home from work at 2am every night.

Oh my, well I can assure you I am not like that, well maybe a little in the mornings, but remember I'm stock, so what seems loud to me may just be more white noise compared to aftermarket SOUND BLASTER 5000's. And hey, I may not like dubstep, but NO music is crap sir. TCoat,

Unfortunately your wasting your time. There are some who just don't get it and never will.

What I find odd, does not seem to be a lack of IQ. Some of these people are pretty smart, something happens when they get behind the wheel of a vehicle, they seem to lose all empathy for other people. I just hope I was not as inconsiderate when I was that age.

Music is to personal taste and some is indeed crap to others. I have a 5 minute Country tolerance level and feel like slitting my own throat if forced to listen to it for any longer.
I do not wave the "Everybody should like everything" flag. I burn and spit on that flag when woke up at 2am by crappy dubstep.

Not my intention to wave that flag, I hate country lol HATE, but if someone is playing it and jamming out, I respect that thoroughly. Everyone should most definitely not like everything
