OFT Stage 2+ E85 v3.00 K00C vs Stage 2+ E85 v3.02 K00C

Howdy Everybody,

Just wondering if anyone has been using the latest OFT E85 tune for K00C (Stage 2+ E85 v3.02 K00C)???

v3.02 It's been released here second to last post by Shiv: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...=121767&page=3

download directly here: Stage 2+ v3.02 E85 K00C.bin E85 v3.02 K00C.bin.zip

I've been having issues with getting romraider up an running so I only have my butt test to rely on and I'm not able to tell if v3.02 is an improvement over v3.00? Please reply if you have any experience with both tunes and would be awesome if you are using romraider and know the 411 on what changes have been made (Wish there was release notes)

Thank you CoOL forum people ^_^

I've been using it and the fuel trims seem more stable than on v3

How can you have problems with RomRaider?
Install it, add the definition, open the files, hit compare.
It's no different than using MS Word or any other app.

They are an exactly copy.
You don't need RomRaider to see.

You assume I have a decent computer :(

I haven't used my notebook in about a year, When I try to install RR it gets stuck and I have not the time to fiddle with my system to troubleshoot that problem.

Just saying ^_^

Wait what? V3.00 and v.302 are the same rom, exact copy?

Think he's saying the programs are the same? The tunes definitely aren't. There are changes to various maps. Can take screenshots if you want when I'm home.

If you can find differences then you have the wrong files open.
The files you and Shiv uploaded are byte-for-byte exactly the same.

I'm a bit lost? Of course the file size would be the same for both bin files? Wayno you be kinda cryptic in your statements?

I'm not sure if byte-for-byte has anything to do with numerical (amusing they are numerical) values that may or may-not have been changed/tweaked in both rom/tune versions that may equate to gains or more stability differences between aforementioned OFT rom files. But then again, I've still not used RoadRaider so maybe I'm just ignorant of what you speak of? All roms I have are 1.3mb.

Maybe we are just misunderstanding one another? Most-likely me misunderstanding you as I'm a bit thick headed :bonk:

NOTE: I didn't upload 2 files? I only put the link for Shiv's original post and a link for a download for his new V3.02 E85 tun if people just want to grab it and not be linked to the post first. I never uploaded v3.0, its just kinda me amusing people using v3.0 already have it...

If so we have been duped, did Shiv just rename v3.0 to v3.02 and scam us all :confused0068:

Considering he's provided the tune for free, not much of a "scam", is it? He could have changed the version number for any number of reasons the end-user would not see.

Like the older V2.x changes, they just incorporated new ROM compatibility rather than any changes in the tune. I'll assume the similar here.

Not really free for me. I'm a new user and just got my OFT. The v3.02 rom was the very first working E85 tune he provided to me and not really because I had to raise a stink on this forum before he got back to me with a working E85 tune for my 2017-BRZ (didn't really give to me just posted it on this forum). As advertised I purchased the OFT as it clearly stated that it supported 2017 86 models. I can understand that older units might get shipped out before they are updated like in my case, but it's a bit unprofessional that I had to personally hunt down a rom/tune that was originally suppose to be available out of box with my purchase :sigh:

BUT, I'm still happy with the product and gave it a 5-star review on the openflash website LoL ^_^

I've waited patiently almost a year for a stable 17 86 tune and I did't feel the need "to raise a stink on this forum". It's no secret that the 17 MT ROM's are significantly different from the 13-16's and also no secret that there has been a delay in getting them out because of that.

I'm surprised he supports the 17 at all, given the amount of crap he's gotten. I think he's nuts for not charging something for the tune given the time and resources he's put into it.
