You guys are hilarious... but have you considered the terrifying possibility he is somehow a teacher and that's the reason he is gone during school hours. Think of the children! :(

He might not necessarily be a bad guy, but he sure has painted himself into a corner. I'm still new here and I'm already over it.

Ya since the E just means eternal and they are the exact same bolts used primarily in European cars since they came out. There is not a hope in hell you did not come across Torx bolts in all the German cars you claimed to own.

I have never needed an E-Torx socket.
I have used Torx sockets for hundreds of repairs.
I don't think you know the difference except there is an extra letter.
Otherwise, you'd know that Torx is used about 100 times more frequently than E-Torx.

I would honestly go as far to say that if you don't own any torx sockets, you have probably never worked on your own german car.

You should learn the difference between Torx and E-Torx.

Pretty unavoidable.

I will force you to learn the difference between Torx and E-Torx.
One is used constantly. One is almost never used.

BRZ seat rails are the first time I've ever seen E-torx.

I think the clue you need to get is to stop making pointless threads and not answer the questions in them.

You can start by replying to the thread about "track abuse"

Ahhhh 6:35. Mom won't let you on the computer until done your homework eh?

If the Torx is used "100 times more" and there are several thousand bolts on a car then you should still have been exposed to E Torx before. Even your own twisted logic betrays the fact you have never touched a German car with a wrench before.

fierostetz 09-06-2017 09:00 PM

Long time ago we taught a trainee help desk technician that the way to pronounce torx was "torquicks". It went on for over a year and only got funnier over time.

Don't tell Ludwig that the E46 M3 sitting outside my office has an E-Torx bolt looking at me whenever I open the door...

That means there are 100 Torx ones lurking in the shadows preparing to strike.
