Tire rack giving me a hard time on tire size, so please help!

I ordered the following from Tire Rack:

Enkei Tenjin 17x8 +45

Kuhmo Ecsta 4x II xl 235/45/17

They are concerned that the tire is too tall. I have a stock suspension. Will it fit? I see no reason why not after all the examples of similar sized set up on here in the wheel directory.

Thanks for the help.

Tire Size

My winter tires are Pirelli PZero A/S 235/45-17 on the stock BRZ PP wheels which are 17x7.5, so you're fine. Look thru the stickies on this sub-forum for tons of info. Also, here's a handy tire calculator,

I know they'll fit the wheel, but the tire size calculators don't say if they work with the wheel arch/suspension travel of a particular car...

Thank you for the example you provided of your set up though, that was very useful.

Tire Rack should know what the gap on our stock cars is. There's plenty of it...

You shouldn't have too much of an issue with them? I ordered 265/35 for my new wheels and I got a phone call from Tirerack. They said from what they see that the tires will only fit on the rears and they just wanted to make sure.

I told them yeah that's exactly what I want and that I can make it fit and they just went ahead with it.

tire rack assumes you made a mistake until you prove to them otherwise.
