Is it the first ever FR with a boxer
Simple question, Is the FR-S the first ever front engine rear wheel drive production car? I can't think of any other examples...
|
No my friend. This is FR-S's god father and no, it's not 2000GT

I dug deep, and I've got Ichitaka beat.
1910 Jowett 6hp. (1914 model show) Attachment 1725 From 1910 to 1954, FR boxers were pretty much all they did. Here's the FT's grand-daddy, the 1950 Jowett Jupiter: Attachment 1726 And for weirdness' sake the 1959 DAF 600, first production car with a CVT was also an FR boxer. Attachment 1727 |
