it breaks and the belt comes off and strands you somewhere. Then you have to either keep a spare everything in your car and know how to repair it or wait for a tow to a mechanic and hope they can get the parts. Our cars won't go far without that belt and those pulleys.

They are wildly out of balance damaging bearings and your crank requiring you to rebuild your motor....
