Possible bricked OFT?
 

I've already got an email into OFT, but I figured i'd try here too as I haven't year heard back from them (sent it early east coast time yesterday). So the other day I was working on my OFT, adding Rom's and cleaning it up. I removed the original ROM's that I had on it and flash 4 new ones, which went through without a hitch. However, when I plugged the OFT in again the following morning (yesterday) it did a huge (read 20+ minute) update. After it completed I was presented with the message that you see below:

Anyone encountered this before? I've done a thread search and find very little on this same message. When I try to pull the logs to send to OFT (I'm assuming that they will need them) I get the following message too:

When I plug it into the car, and try to hit read the OFT presents me with a message saying that there is a "Tuning File mismatch: ECU write denied."

I'm assuming that the update sent something in the unit goofy, hopefully I'll hear back from OpenFlash soon to see what the official answer is.

You second guy or same guy from facebook with problem ??


Delete openflash directory on computer , download new openflash manager from oft site install as admin


reconnect oft to computer , hopefully it will do more updates and sort itself out

Same one, lol. I honestly didn't know that was you Steve. I just got home so I'm gonna try flashing it again now. Was also posting here in the hope that someone from OF might see the thread.

check it has not reset the vehicle type as well check its set to Toyota ZN6 and not bmw or mazda


If all else fails try erase function on openflash manager

Erase is sadly locked out, tells me that I have to unmarry the device first, which is something that I can't do as it seems to think it is unmarried already within OFM. I'll wait to see if @Shiv@Openflash can help shed any light on it at this point.

I'd reached out to the OF guys already, i'm not in a HUGE rush so I'm happy to wait. It's the IT guy in me trying to figure out what has happened and if I can fix it myself. Will definitely look at alientech though, thanks.
