Forgive me FT86 Club for I have...

changed my oil 42 miles over the recommended interval and used Castrol synthetic instead of something fancy. Totaled, I assume?

The situation is manageable ....... after the engine blows, since you won't be able to get any warranty service, just pick out the good pieces, replace the others and put it all back together again .....

I am positive someone will get their panties in a bunch over this. Be careful and watch your back. I will pray for you.

What a coincidence, your car is now worth $42

Ooo Ooo, let me try. ... modified my car, WITHOUT posting pics.

...driven an fwd car... and liked it.

Do I win?

It all depends on how often you dip your stick.. Too often will lead to exaggerated wear rates. Little and often I'm afraid doesn't apply here, only dip when you really feel the urge otherwise leave the stick alone.

Depends on what you're going by as recommended interval....

yelsew 08-18-2017 10:40 AM

Why would you post that here? Your dealership is going to read this, know its your car, and seize it if you ever bring it in for work. No hope for you, lawyer up!

Well since it is miles or time whichever happens first and he went over by miles then the time doesn't matter.

All of mine have been done by miles and I have gone over by anywhere from 50 to 100 three or four times. My service departments sort of just said "meh it is only 100 miles we don't care about that little bit" and I have zero issues so I don't think 42 miles is the end of the world.

Doesn't matter the steering wheel is still on the wrong side of the car.

I like the broom in the background. Sort of a plan C; sweep it all into the dumpster and buy a fresh one.

I was more going along with the old 3,000 service interval, 5,000 "dealer recommended" or the blackstone labs "go for 10K on your next oil change."
