When I bought a "broken" car from another FT86Club member...

Sometimes you get lucky when you buy a modified car from another FT86Club member and you see effort that went into the build.

Sometimes you don't and inherit some issues.

Though the issues were minor, here's a story about acquiring my FR-S years ago from another forum member.

After all the initial problems and 72k miles later, I'm still loving her to this day!

If someone buy a car from me, he is a lucky guy because I take care every single piece of my car. However, its not gonna happen cus I am keeping it forever XD

Great video. I bought my FR-S from a member here and he kept it IMMACULATE (actually a lease takeover). I've tried to maintain it's pristine appearance but it's tough when you don't have a garage. I was very lucky; there are plenty of bad luck stories when it comes to used cars.

Nice vid. Definitely can see your enthusiasm. Have fun in your "new to you" car.

Nice little vid there Dan.
Important to note that although you did have some little things there are guys that bought brand new with 5 miles on them that had much much worse issues come up.

When looking for a BRZ I started with Craigslist then Autotrader then decided to dig into the available forums. At least there is some traceability to what the previous owner did if they're an active poster.

Anyways, I'm picking this up on Saturday from a previous/existing member. At least I know it was tracked rather than buying a similar one on Craigslist without knowing anything of what the previous owner did. There is some piece of mind in that.

He had a catless UEL header and used a Vibrant O2 spacer to try and fool the secondary O2 sensor.

It worked for about an hour before the CEL should trigger -- annoying when you are driving long distances and can't have cruise control!
