Need to replace bent OEM '13 wheel. Best option?

The wheel has a slow leak (needs air once a week, not a big deal)

I would only buy used from someone I "knew" who had upgraded.
Way too many bent used wheels sold on Ebay.

I prefer not to get reconditioned. Often, they're not.

Any online place to pick up a wheel?
What would the dealer charge me?

Is there a name for this style wheel?

Check the classifieds in here and your local Craigslist, I'm always seeing stock wheels for sale on there.

Is it visibly bent or are you just guessing it is bent because it is losing air?

This^ They come up on here all the time. Not a great answer if in a hurry though.
Not sure what they are selling for from the dealer now but they were about $200 a while back.

Or... There are several places online where they are reasonably priced.

Eh, ebay used wheel is no different than a used wheel here IMO. If he is afraid of used wheels he should just buy one from the dealer

LudwigMiles 08-16-2017 10:19 PM

HubCapHaven is $170 for a reconditioned wheel.
Not worth it.

The Ebay wheel is $70+$30/ship.
Might be worth it, if the story checks out.

If the dealer OEM wheel is only $200, that may be smartest.
"Buy once, buy right"

I would take a stab at 25%, but not 50% or 75% of new.

It's visibly bent and losing air.

I just swapped wheels on my 13' model since the tires were shot. Rims have no curb rash and are in impeccable condition. I really want to sell them as a set locally thou. Best bet is ebay or here.

Yea, at some point, people will start buying these 3rd hand and want to undo the ricing.
Then, OEM sets will be in demand. This might not be for 5-10 years, however.
Your other hope is to have 4 local people hit the same huge pothole.
