Anyone have this happen after a long vacation.
 

I just came back home from vacation. Was up in the great Pacific Northwest(Seattle and Vancouver). First off,there are waaaaaaaaay more twins up there than out here in the Chicago area,no question.

Anyway,while I was out there,I drove around in a shitty Hyundai Accent for the past 5½ days,I got in my car for the first time in almost a week today,and it felt almost alien. I had been sitting up so high that I forgot how low the seating was in my car. Took me a good 10~15 minutes to re-acclimate to driving stick again,plus,the brakes on the Hyundai were super touchy.

Anyway,anyone else have a similar experience,and how did it make you feel about your twin?

Every single time I drive a rental for a week or so.
Although it is worse the other way around when I try to hit the clutch and shift the auto in a rental for the first two or three days.

I always feel more like I put my FRS on than get into it so I am always glad to be back in my comfy seat.

Had to drive a 05 tundra to go camping.
The seats have no bolsters, the steering numb and imprecise, the automatic transmission just plain horrible.
When I got in my car again, everything felt so direct, so sharp. There's no hesitation.

when i had my rental for a couple days and got my frs back it felt like something was wrong and broken lol but its a great feeling to get it back after a while thats for sure

Ha! I alternate driving my FRS and a Sequoia a couple times a week...

Yes, you learn to appreciate what you've got.

I had a new Forester for a week. It felt like a pile of mush and it took me two days to "learn" how to drive it. It was such a pleasure to get back in my car...

Yep, the FR-S is a relatively unique driving machine for sure.

I switch between my CHR and BRZ & feel totally ok. Maybe I'm just used to both cars.

Happens every time I travel for work (2 weeks away usually). The minute the rental keys are gone, I pull the FRS keys out of my bag and put them in my pocket, then I have to wait 6+ hours on a plane till I can drive it. First drive feels like I just bought it, but this time I don't have any break-in to worry about... :burnrubber:

I don't think I'll ever have this problem anymore, I'm a lot guy at a Subaru so I drive WRXs, Imprezas, Crosstreks, Legacies, Outbacks, Foresters, and BRZs daily as well as my own 86, so I've just learned to adapt from vehicle to vehicle on the fly.

I drove my friends s2000 stage 2 clutch for a day, and switch back to my frs and needed couple stop light to get used to the frs clutch again.

Everytime I leave the 86 in for work I get a courtesy car even though I don't really need one, the dealer has a bus service that would do fine.

I do it so I can remind myself how awesome this car is.

"Normal" modern cars, whether it's a Yaris or an A4 2.0TDI SLine are so vague, soft, disconnected and imprecise it takes me a while to remember I can't drive them by feel alone.

Always awesome getting back into the 86.

Puts a tear in my eye...when I drive her after a week, it feels like the first time...
