Not soft enough, but we have some quick ES guys out here.

As in from what I've seen it should be softer than ES, somewhere between GS and HS as long as the Falkens are the spec tire. Concrete, big lots out here, rarely frigid so I can see it being a lot closer to being 'correct' for another region.

I won our local index class in '17 running ES. In 8 of 10 events that year, I was within 3 tenths of top pax. In '18, I basically finished last or 2nd to last every event depending if another SSC car ran the class or not. Some events I drove nowhere near as well as I did in '17, but once I started getting a feel for the car, I think I drove okay enough to be in the mix. Using the '19 numbers, I jumped from 10th or 11th to 4th place at 2 events and remained last or 2nd to last every other event. The difference is that instead of being half a second out of next to last, the new numbers would put me in 10th or so place, but within about a tenth of mid-pack.

May run by myself in open SSC locally and just focus on trying to help others.

FYI: My SCC car is still for sale. Season is quickly approaching, if not already started in some regions. I can't move on to something new until this car leaves my driveway.

You can find it in the classifieds. Just search for scc, and my post.

Ran my first event yesterday.

When the driver side rear loads then unloads, car makes are terribly loud popping noise. It reminded me of when the front sway bar bracket on my Spyder snapped.

I could replicate it with a jack, but couldn't pinpoint the noise exactly. Seems to be coming from the front side of the suspension. I didn't have time to nut and bolt everything, but nothing was obviously loose.

Anybody experience anything like that or have ideas?

Re-tighten the endlinks again, they tend to get a little loose and make popping noises sometimes. I've also seen the FSB snap with other types of bars, too.

Just to be clear, as I probably wasn't, noise is in the rear suspension. And seems to be in front of the rear wheel.

Don't think it is swaybar, but I will disconnect to see if that makes the noise to go away.

Is anyone DDing their spec tires? Have you noticed any loss in performance?

My previous street class tires always wore down to the threads long before they heat cycled out, but the Falkens are supposed to be longer lasting.

I DD on them. Last November when the Autocross season was over, I was down to 2/32nds.
