Getting a new transmission from warranty, how long did it took?
For those of you who had a bad transmission and had to go through the warranty to get a new one, how long did it usually take? My car has been on the dealership for almost 2 weeks now and they still haven't send a Toyota tech to inspect the transmission to see if I'll get a new transmission or if the'll fix the one I currently have.

Not sure, but hopefully they gave you a loaner.

No that's ridiculous. It took me 4 days I think. And that was outrageous.
And my loaner was a Prius. And it sucked. The car still runs fine right? Just missing a gear maybe? I would rather drive a 5 speed FR-S than a Prius anyday. I would go back and get my car and schedule an appointment to have it repaired after the parts arrive. |

Does this work if you buy it used though? I'm in NJ |
Last time they changed my rear axle under warranty was 3 and half days.

The lack of inspection after that much time is not right. I would e-mail or call the regional Toyota head office and ask them, not the dealer or a forum. In the past I found them to be quick to respond.
