How bad is it dailying at 220-230F to work?
As title states, also boosted as well. Is there any long time damage running at those temps since SoCal temps are so high atm.
|
Can you provide ambient temp rather than engine coolant/oil?
|
Let's ask a different question:
what makes you think these engine oil temps are bad? |
It's not bad? I assume you run synthetic oil...? It's fine. It's also normal for a boosted twin with no oil cooler. That's exactly how hot mine gets every day.

I feel bad this guy things people don't like him. Though not sure why he didn't edit-out him walking back to his "marks". |
Love the oil temp obsession in this forum.
You are fine. |

It's hot as hell here in Texas but I just make sure not to book it at every stop light/ on ramp.

yes. is this after the cooler or before? |
I was just agreeing with you. 170 is too cold. I like to see 220.
|
If the temp never gets over 170, he's damaging his engine- slowly, but surely. Oil has to get up to temp.
