Jackson Racing NA oil cooler

Just an FYI for 2017 Manual transmission owners. The Jackson Racing NA oil cooler will not fit as the 2017 air box has been redesigned and does not allow enough room for the lines.
I talked to Jackson Racing, the only solution currently is to replace the air box with a 2016 prior air box. They did say they are working on an alternative solution, but just an FYI as I didn't see this mentioned anywhere and it is not currently showing this information on any of the many websites selling this oil cooler.

I will be replacing my air box and putting a KN drop in filter. I don't expect any performance difference that is noticeable and even if I drop 1 or 2 hp I feel the oil cooler is more important since I bought my car just for having some fun at the track.

This has been stated many times, but unfortunately often gets buried.

I use a 13-16 aka 17 AT intake on my 17 BRZ with a Jackson Racing NA cooler.

Dang it. It just arrived at my doorstep today.

Where are you guys buying the airbox from?

I went with a Blitz Oil Cooler designed for the 2017+ MT - Fitment is spot on and perfect on track for my 25 minute sessions during a 35C day.

Keep an eye out on local classifieds, you're in a good spot, maybe someone has one laying around and if you post an offer that you're looking to buy one someone will sell it to you cheap.

Does the combo JR radiator/oil cooler have the same issue?

I can't confirm - but I would assume so as it should use the same oil filter housing and outlet to the lines (which is what comes in contact with the airbox)

are these worth the price for regular highway use? get's insanely humid around here and if I could keep the temp down a bit more I'd be very happy. seems like a pretty easy install too.

might have to add one this winter for next summer...

for exclusively street use? I'd get the dual radiator/oil cooler combo instead.

Hey guys! Sorry for reviving an old thread, but for the sake of future searches, I just want to confirm the install of the new kit works with no contact to the new MY17 airbox. Cooler install and performance are excellent. I only have the stock gauge to go by, but it appears that on-track temps were dropped by 30-40 degrees.
