Heavy Rain

We had a pretty large storm hit San Antonio, TX this morning. For anyone familiar with this area, you know how bad the flooding gets... My BRZ took every bit of it like a champ. Had a couple questionable deep spots and she pulled right through. This is probably the best handling car I've ever driven in the rain. Too bad I didn't have the time in my commute to go have some fun :burnrubber:. Another reason to love this little beast. Happy owner this morning.

I drove through probably the heaviest rain I've ever seen on the PA turn Pike a few days ago for 45 minutes. I could barely see the back of the 18 wheeler about 50 feet in front of me at 50mph. The car took it like a champ. Stock tires, stock suspension. Truly amazing car

I have driven through literally hundreds of rain storms and dozens of snow storms. It is just a car and if driven properly it will perform as well as any other car in bad conditions. The myth that light RWD cars are bad in weather is just that, a myth.

Same here. So long as your tires and alignment are proper. This has been the most sure footed car I've felt in the rain.

Cool story bro. Car works in rain. Who knew?

You're right @Tcoat.. Given this was the first real test I've had in this car, I was pretty surprised by the outcome. I've only ever owned light weight coupes, and this has been the best experience. That's all.

That's true but some cars like my old Jetta did not like rain or snow.

I got some snow up to the windshield last winter. It was great when I look outside, ready to leave... Start plowing my car out and the city ends up plowing my street 10minutes later as I'm ready to leave... Had to start all over. :iono:

They rarely plow my street so most of my neighbors just wait for me to drive down it first. They love the 3" deep bit I leave on the road.

Yeah, they rarely plow our streets too, but my neighbor loves to complain to the city (small suburb of Montreal) and called the city to get it plowed "because she works early tomorrow morning". I went out that night to catch the game, roads weren't plowed, but at least my street was? My brothers complained like hell the next day about the snow when I just drove out because I only had a foot of snow to go through. :bellyroll:
