jdm padded kneepads
as a '15 brz owner, i have had the distinct pleasure of having the touchpoint where my right knee rests against the dash be injection molded hard plastic. i've lived ith this for two years and finally resolved to treat myself to a fix.
i researched a long time - wanted to get the jpm coachworks pieces but they went out of business last year. i researched sweidit but had to ship them a core first. i looked at parts prices for the 86 ,which i believe now has padded kneepads but the parts prices were about $140 with shipping. i looked at cheapo ebay stuff but have always believed that you get what you pay for. finally i resolved upon the jdm 86 piece from ft86speedfactory. i was afraid they wouldn't be soft enough but i liked the price at $99, so i ponied up and ordered them. i opened up the box and they felt cushiony. then lo and behold, after installing via the diy on here i went for a quick drive and there's plenty of knee comfort to be had. if you are, like i was - on the fence about fixing your battered and bruised brz driving knee, fear not - its a relatively cheap and easy fix. |
