Have anyone tride the PT296-47140 box in South Africa are there SA maps on it ?

I have a 2016 high spec...

I think you have to buy the SD card with SA maps separately from Toyota.

Not sure what they're smoking but I want some too.

I had a look PZ490-00333 is the SA map box

PZ490-00332 is for Europe maps if you do a search on ebay

The box I posted earlier is for us maps

Still crazy, you could buy a much better radio with GPS for less

I have brought the box, mic and brackets
Will let you guys know if it is any good

Toyota is out of stock
I will hopefully get the box next week

I have installed the touch and go box the navigation works well
The problem i found is that the internet is not working on the box. After looking online i see you have to register the touch and go online

Now for the thing you can not register it in SA it is not a SA function

So i will try to regester it on the Uk my Toyota
I just need a uk car vin

Is the box worth all the trouble?

For me it is nice I do drive a lot (my 86 is a work bakkie)

Cool, just out of curiosity - why did you go this route, rather than fitting an aftermarket android unit you could install pretty much any on/offline nav app(s) on?

For me Waze or Google with live traffic and avoidance is much more useful than old school "GPS".

I fount that if i put my iphone’s personal hotspot on and plug it in the usb
Then i have found the internet is working on the touch and go system

Interesting. What functionality does internet give on this headunit?
