It has been over 105° this weekend and will be around that all week. Needless to say Im not doing much to the car until it gets a little cooler.
I DID get a hole cut in the firewall to eliminate a section I didn't like, and possibly run the heater lines through. I decided to keep the firewall smoother, and run them through the area where the windshield wiper motor is. Next on the list is to build the lines from the blower assembly into the engine compartment, and button up the hole in firewall around the new lines. Trying to decide if im going to send it out for paint in the engine compartment, firewall in the passenger compartment, or just rattle can it in the garage. Im leaning towards sending it out after I get it all smoothed out and prepped. Im not a painter. |

Ordered Sabelt gt160 seats, aluminium mounts, and 6 point harnesses with aluminium adj
Also ordered a multipoint Cage produced by Custom Cages. If all goes well, and they don't get held up at the port I should have everything next month. |
Cage arrived. Still waiting on my seats, harnesses, and mounts. Going to order custom cages seat mount tube kit, and welding rod Friday. So I can get rolling on the install when I get the seats.
|
Seats, harnesses, and brackets arrived pictures coming soon.

Will be starting to strip the seam sealer out and seam weld soon. I plan on using internal frame sealer from Eastwood to seal up internal areas I can't paint after stitch welding to prevent rust. Anyone with experience stitch welding and coating areas after welding input is welcome for best products, to methods. Thanks in advance.
