Anyone have the Intec tail lights installed on a 10 Series?

I'm thinking about buying them but want to see if they'd look good with the light blue-ish color the 10 series has.

I'm a big fan of the intecs on any color as long as you get the black or carbon fiber versions. The paint matched ones look weird imo.

I think intec looks good only on black.

Well I did say black or carbon, so painted, with the exception of black, looks weird lol

Beuty is in the eye of the beholder and of course totally subjective but to me either way looks like they are some random part slapped on and forced to fit in with the style. They just simply don't look right to me. Maybe if they filled the seams I could at least sort of like the look.

I've seen them in person a few times and they definitely look better in person. But I agree with @Tcoat, they still look out of place once you actually walk up and look at em.

my thoughts is only get these lights if your car is black and you get the black version to match, other then that it seems like it does not belong

I have them on my black car and love them! Was thinking at some point getting the CF ones but I like the stock-ish look more ! :)

ChinatownDragon 07-28-2017 09:41 AM

I think due to the fact that the clear red part isn't the entire round portion of the light like a real 458/488 light makes them look off to a lot of people. Which also makes me nervous about running these due to them not having the side reflectors and lights

Ya the black would hide the seam a bit and I think that is what I object to the most so it would look OK.

The first photo of that google images link is my car.
Have the carbon ones for about 3 years now I think (first batch produced).
They look absolutely stunning IRL, photos just don't do it justice.
